Can some one please help my frog. It's swelling up it's been like this for a few month now. The vets around my way don't specialise in amphibians and can't help me out.

Can you post a picture from the side? He looks very white around the belly area, almost translucent. What does it feel like when you touch him were he swollen, does feel squishy? Are his front or back legs swollen?

I was thinking if it was soft and the legs were swollen also that it could of been edema but if its hard to the touch I don't think its that. He may have some sort of internal bacterial infection in which you will need meds from a vet to help him, or he could of contracted some sort of parasite from a feeder in which again he will need meds. Sorry I couldn't of been more help but it really sounds like he needs a vet and if you can t find one I don't know what else to suggest. Does he still eat?

Can you try and pick him up and see if he struggles? My one frog that died from edema (well had to put him down), would not sturgle at all when trying to pick him up when he was swollen.

It's not edema I'm sure' if it was how would you treat it. Some one suggested drying him out a little' I've tried this with over frogs and turning up the temp to almost 90 to kill the bacteria with no joy
