You guys aren't going to believe this but I looked in my pacman frog Button's tank a little while ago and found something ridiculous. I use unfertilized potting soil for substrate so it probably isn't too unusual but guess what was growing in there. A mushroom! It kind of adds some charm to the tank so I'm wondering if it's safe to keep it there.
I've heard of mushrooms sprouting in vivariums before. It should be okay.
(I've even heard of people selling plugs that had spores of glow in the dark mushrooms in them for vivs.)
Awesome! That's good to hear. Somehow it's quite fitting for a frog enclosure.
As long as it isn't toxic, to you and your frog, I think it should be safe. Seems like a nice addition to the enclosure though
Somewhere on here there's a thread about vivariums growing in and aging, and they talk about mold and fungus. I think one person actually described it as beautiful, lamenting their quick disappearance. Ill have to dig it up, it was really informative. I'd kinda like to see my new viv with a mushroom or two.

1 Dubia Roach Colony
2 Australian Green Treefrogs
I get mushrooms sprouting up in my paludarium every week. I don't know if they're a threat to the herps or not, so I remove them.
Yeah it just looks like a typical mushroom. Small, thin, white. If it gets any bigger I'll probably pull it out though. It's not not like he'll eat it but if it is toxic I don't want a roach or cricket chewing on it and getting it inside them when he eventually grabs them.
It was probably just lying dormant in the soil before frog waste fertilized it. It's probably just one of those mushrooms that pop up in the lawn but I think I'll most likely pluck it out within a few days just in case..
Yeah I know. It's funny because it's a toadstool and it's in a frog tank.
