I have recently built a fully bioactive 40 gallon WTF vivarium and now have to juveniles living in there. I have a 150w submersible heater and a 75 heat bulb and for the life of me i cant get the temerature above 26 degrees a spends most of the time around 23-24. I also cant get my humidity right, im aiming for atleast 60% but struggle to get it below 72%. I have an exo terra tank with mesh top so ventilation isnt an issue
You could try covering part of the mesh top- that should increase heat and humidity, but would decrease ventilation.
You could also try a smaller heat bulb, which would help increase humidity. Turning up your submersible heater would also increase heat and humidity.
My issue is my humidity is too high as it is so if I increase heat to solve my heat issue my humidity will increase with it which is what i do not want as it is way to high all ready.
Sorry, I misread your original post.
To decrease humidity but increase temperature, I would try a higher wattage bulb. See what happens. It should create more heat and dryness.
Removing the submersible heater may also decrease humidity.
Im currently running a 75wat bulb if i move up to 100wat is that safe for wtf. Thanks for your replies also
