FYI: I guess Dr Frye can't help us any more?

Hey frog forum people! The other day I found a grey tree frog with a nasty leg injury, so I contacted Dr Frye with pictures asking for advice. The person that answered my email said they couldn't help me unless I was able to bring the frog to the clinic, and when I asked if the system has changed, since frog vets are so few and (quite literally) far between, and I got the following response:

"Yes things have changed, unfortunately laws now prohibit sending medication out. As much as it saddens us, we cannot help those who need him in the frog community that are outside our area."

Anyway I just thought I should share that info so that people in the frog community don't inundate him with requests that he can no longer help us with.

Also for what it's worth, the little patient is doing great! Since I couldn't get any antibiotics for him, I've settled for keeping him in a sterile environment and dipping him in a weak saline solution once a day for 60 seconds. It's been 4 days now since I found him and the swelling is way down and he is active and eating like a hog. Now I just have to figure out how the heck to screen him for parasites without Dr Frye!

Wow, that's unfortunate...I've never contacted Dr. Frye, but I have read lots of threads recommending him/his practice, not only for medicines, but also for basic medical treatment advice, and help with diagnoses...that really sucks, since I always figured if I ran into a problem I couldn't figure out there was always thr possibility of emailing Dr.Frye.
