Default Found a Green Tree Frog in some bananas.

    Hi!
My dad went to the market today and bought some bananas. When he got home we realised that there was a little Green Tree Frog sitting on one the bananas. The problem is that the bananas (and frog) came from Queensland and we're in Victoria.
At the moment the frog is still in the same bag as the bananas and we have loosely tied it to keep the warmth and moisture in.
Is there anything we can do to help the little guy survive the night? It's currently about 11 degrees and it will likely drop to around 5 degrees tonight. Is there anywhere we can take him tomorrow, like the RSPCA or something?
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry you had to wait this long for a reply but... I would try to match the conditions specified in this article as best you can:

    http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frog-c...-caerulea.html

Even if your frog is not that species, the conditions should be ideal.

As to where to take the frog, I would give the RSPCA a ring before you take the frog to them, just to get some advice on what to do. They will likely know where to go if they can't help you themselves.

Thanks for the reply. I actually didn't realise that this is an international site, I though it was Australian. I'm going to give the Victoria Amphibian Research centre a call tomorrow morning, as they apparently have a program that specifically takes care of these 'lost frogs'. He actually seems to be doing quite well, although he probably hasn't had anything to eat for quite a while. Oh and I found out that he is a Dainty Tree Frog, he's a cute little guy...it would be a shame to see him pass away.
