I know for sure Budgett's frogs have a pretty bad bite, but I don't think there's that many other amphibians in the trade that could have a harmful bite. Maybe a very large American bullfrog? Most other frog bites feel more like slight pinches than anything else, so you should be fine

I've read a thread about comparative bite strengths. Ill try to find it and link it. Iirc the general consensus was frogs hurt more than snakes(but snake bites bleed a lot) African Bullfrogs hurt the most, followed by Pacman and Budgett's Frogs. Like Xavier said, most others don't really hurt.
    1 Male Giant African Bullfrog
    2 Woodhouse's Toads
    11 Pacific Treefrogs
    1 Dubia Roach Colony
    2 Australian Green Treefrogs

i dont think american bullfrogs have a strong bite, i dont think they have teeth, like cane toads, african bullfrogs have a very strong bite tho, they are the only ones i know of that do in the frog family

the conger eels two three toed i cant spell latin name starts with A. I know they have extreme bite power but it does nothing to save them from predators like herons and mud snakes.

I have been bitten by axolotl, and african clawed frogs they did it by mistake tho lol Did not hurt at all.

my budgett frog only wants to bite when hungry lol otherwise shes sweet we have lots of american bullfrogs here i see kids running around with them, bothers me tho cause they scream and are stressed. I wish they could bite like a pacman or budgets at least kids would leave them alone

african bullfrogs are the largest i wonder if thats why bite hurts more? if all the same i wonder because the article i read said pacman frogs have an extreme bite force for size.

Dwarf african bullfrogs the same size i am curious. It is impressive though.

i have had snakes chew on me try to swallow me not bad at all, but these are not in the python or boa family nor are they fanged..

Just king snakes, gopher/pine, rat snakes. Bleeds a bit but does not hurt like a tokay or something.

That's the thread I mentioned. The bite strength of pacman frogs, Budgett's Frogs and African Bullfrogs is pretty high, but more importantly they have odontoid projections, which are like teeth. I think ABFs only hurt more because they get to be so big. I'm curious about the bite force of Dwarf African Bullfrog too. I dont think that thread mentions them. My own ABF hasn't bit me yet, but I'll be sure post on here if he does.

I also think it may be a morphological standard that these frogs have, as most (If not all), occupy the niche of very immobile ambush predators that spend most of their time in one spot. They need powerful jaws to be sure their prey does not escape, due to them not encountering prey that often in the wild, and needing to maximize the likelihood of a successful hunt. It also works as an amazing deterrent of predators as well
