Default Fowlers toad or American toad

Hi! Im new to owning toads, but I really want one as a pet. Ive done my research and have his/her setup all good and ready. The only thing im not sure of, is if its okay to keep just one toad by itself without any friends. I really only want one. I would prefer a fowlers toad, but an american toad is okay too. I am located in NY if it matters. I would be okay with shipping or picking up (as long as its close to me). Let me know if you have any available please! any size or sex is okay.
