I have had several pacs, and they all have this behavior. After they eat something, they open and close their mouth for a few seconds.
I noticed my one ornate, when doing this now, is not a smooth motion like the others, I dont know how to explain it, but his mouth does not open and close smoothly, it kind of jitters as it opens and closes.
He seems healthy other wise, and eats fine. Sometimes he would do this then after a while it would smooth out and go back to normal. Other times he would keep doing it "jittery" untill he stops.
What could this be a sign off? I know it cant be good
You know I just saw my Cranwelli do this for the first time last night. No jitters. Just a smooth open/close a few times after feeding.

I don't think this is necessarily a bad sign so long as the frog doesn't appear to be struggling or deformed. What size is the frog's food in relation to its head? Are you using calcium and vitamin supplements?
Litoria caerulea 1.1.0 (White's Tree Frog)
Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis 0.1.0 (Anerythristic Honduran Milk Snake) Tliltocatl albopilosus 0.0.2 (Curly Hair Tarantula)
Aphonopelma hentzi 0.0.1 (Texas Brown Tarantula)
Avicularia avicularia 0.0.2 (Pinktoe Tarantula)
Brachypelma smithi ex. annitha 0.0.1 (Mexican Giant Red Knee Tarantula) Monocentropus balfouri 0.0.2 (Socotra Island Blue Baboon Tarantula)
Harpactira pulchripes 0.0.1 (Golden Blue Leg Baboon Tarantula)
Over supplementation or under supplementation/malnutrition can cause neurological problem's resulting in ticks like that.

With this frog I am not using any calcium or vitamins because I am feeding him Pack attack pellets with his normal crickets, night crawlers and horned worms. The pellets are supposed to have all the calcium and vitamins he needs according to the company who makes it.
I have only had him 2 months and he has grown a lot on this diet, I dont notice anything wrong with his appearance. He doesnt seem to have MBD, so I think he is getting enough calcium.
My pacman frogs all have done a post eating mouth open and close... I just wouldn't say it's jittery.
I also use pacattack.
It doesn't really sound like a problem.

First off, it's interesting to actually have a topic on this. It's an interesting behavior that I haven't seen threads on. I currently keep a pacman, treefrogs, an African Bullfrog and woodhouse's toads, and this behavior is common across all of them, not just pacmans. Among them I've seen some jittery openings/closings, in my toads especially, and the Pacman sometimes. I've never really given it much thought. I don't think it's anything to worry about, unless it gets worse or something. If anyone knows why this happens, it'd be interesting to find out.
That makes me feel a little better. The only thing is for me, he didn't used to do this, so this is something new that has developed. This is what worries me. Had he done this from the start I would not be as worried, but he developed this over time, so I am still a little concerned
I will keep on eye on him to make sure its not getting worse.
Just to be clear, I am not concerned about him opening and closing his mouth after eating, I already know this is normal. I am worried about his mouth movement not being smooth like it used to be and is now jittery when opening and closing after eating.
I gave him a soak today, when I put him back he started shedding and was opening his mouth and closing it normally, so not sure what to think.
looks very healthy though.
Glad to hear it! I know my Ornata often closes his mouth normally, nice and smooth, and sometimes opens/closes a bit jittery, so I think he's fine. Since we were talking about behavioral tics, could slightly asynchronous blinking be an indication of something?
Mine all blink like that too
