Default WTF size requirements for cohabitation

Hey! I recently was given a new WTF because he had been stranded at a pet store for too long. he is about the same age as my female WTF so I agreed to take him home, assuming they would be similar enough sizes to live together (40 gallon).

Once I brought him home I realized he was about 1/4 larger than the female I already own. Though his head is not big enough to swallow her widest part, he does feel quite large next to her and I'm worried he may be aggressive.

I know that WTF can be cannibalistic but also can be wonderful together-

What are people's experiences with different
sized WTF, what size difference is too great?

How do WTF normally react when meeting a new tank mate/ what should I watch out for?

I don't think the difference will be significant enough to cause a problem but you still might want to make sure that both frogs get crickets. Also you might want to quarantine the frog to personally make sure that the new one is healthy before putting it in. (Or you could just ask your friend how the frog's been doing.)

I have one frog that's bigger than the other but not big enough to actually eat the other and I have had no problems.

Thanks Elly! Leon (my new frog) has been living alone for a few months and has been healthy so I assumed that quarantine was probably not necessary-

They seem to be doing alright - no aggression, but definitely cautious of each other.
I noticed Ms.B. (My first frog) has been much quieter instead of her normal jumpy, exuberant nighttime self. I can tell it is because she is still getting used to her new tank mate- have you experienced this behavior?

I can't say I've experienced that, but I'd keep an eye on her to make sure she's still eating normally.
