Hi All! I have a ten gallon tank and got a filter for that size but since then I have read that for African Clawed frogs you should have a filter that would work for a tank larger than what you are using. A student cracked my tank and now I have to replace my frogs tank. The new one has and internal filter and I already have a filter on my old tank. Would it be ok to have both filters on the new tank since it really needs it?
Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
I know this is a few weeks old and you've probably already set your new tank up, but I don't think you really need a filter for clawed frogs. They do produce a lot of waste, but frequent water changes will keep this down. I have several and have never used a filter, and they are all perfectly happy and healthy. In fact, constant water movement (like the kind that a filter would make) can stress them out because they are from shallow, stagnant ponds.
