Default Is it safe for a frog to eat live pinkies?

I'm worried that live pinkies are full of germs and other harmful things. I like how frozen pinkies often have the germs frozen off. Are they safe? Particularly for pixie frogs which is what I have?

Shouldn't have germs, but i would feed frozen because of dangers to your frog. Not until the adult stage at least, when pixies get tough ridges on their skin.
