I have a few questions about my new friend SnoopFrog. I just got him from a local breeder last week for my birthday. I do not have much experience with frogs which is why I have some questions. My first and most important is proper temperature. My house is kept at around 79 degrees fahrenheit the appropriate for pacmans between 77-84 degrees. The whole time I have had him he has only come to the surface once to soak in his water dish. Other then that I have only gotten him to eat one meal worm once. So I was wondering if I should add some sort of heat source in order to bring hi out of what I can only guess is brumating. My other question is if I could feed him small feeder lizards as a way to help bring him out of that state or what other foods would be good long run other then meal worms.
82-84 during the day with a 5ish degree drop at night. The night drop should bring him out as they are nocturnal. After the temp drop he may raise his head out of the dirt, thats when you feed him. Dont feed meal worms they are bad for your frog. Nightcrawlers are the best staple food hands down.

Okay thank you for the help. As a heat source should I use a ceramic bulb?
Yes you can use a ceramic. But if the light in the room doesn't brighten up the tank enough to make him think it's day then you should try to get something that gives off light and heat. But not a basking bulb, you want a normal heat bulb. Or you could use a combo of the ceramic and some sort of led bulb or something similar that doesn't give off a lot of heat. And try to give him 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night.
Sweet thank you for the help!
