    Default Feeding Time Movie

A pretty good view of much of the habitat in my frog aquarium.

When I drop the first cricket right next to the frog in front, it is ignored. Instead, the frog leaps for a cricket in the canopy and gets it. Showoff.

Hungry bunch of toads! How often do they go after the guppies you have in there? If I ever build out a bigger viv that I can get some deeper water in, I plan to add some guppies too so they will get a little more choice in food.

Those are 'mosquito fish' that came from my back yard pond. I put in six, and I am still counting six. The fish even swim in the shallows right along with the frogs, it seems that the frogs are fixated primarily on crickets and ignore these fish.

I think one thing that stimulates them to feed voraciously is competition with each other. You can see in the video that there are many multiple-frog contentions over the same cricket. And yet there are enough crickets such that every frog is full at the end of the night.

I've only had them for a week; their behavior is still adapting to becoming more comfortable in their environment. Every day, something new. The fact that they are willing to launch themselves across the tank seems like a healthy sign.

Just an assortment of artificial plants from PetSmart. They do love that fern. They get in it. They like to watch the shadows of the crickets that walk on it (and jump).

I have mostly floating platforms, so I am very limited in weight, or the platform sinks.
Also one of those hollow resin bog logs.
Since I have 7" of water, I need to adjust height of solid non-floating objects.
For adjusting height, I ordered a set of acrylic display stands, 3", 4" and 5". The bog log sits on the 4" stand and I expect to add a corner waterfall feature that will sit on a 5" stand.
So far, these frogs have explored every inch of whatever I put in that tank.
