    Default Mites!

    Hi everyone,
I decided to do a fecal float on my girl today and, as expect, found she has roundworm. She is being treated and I have sterilized her house and replaced plastic dishes, fake plastic plants, and just enough dirt to burrow while I treat her. I will be cleaning daily. My shocking surprise was seeing 6 mites on the slide from the fecal float!!!! Seeing as there is only one type of internal mite, a lung mite, I have NO idea how they got there or how to get rid of them! I did sample tests on her wet substrate as well as the dry substrate in the package in case that is where they came from but the samples came back clean. If ANYONE has a safe way to treat for mites please let me know!
