    Default Injured ACF -any advice?

Hi- My kids got 2 "Grow a Frog" ACFs recently- they have been carefully cared for. When the first tad was down to a tail stump, we moved it into a 10 gallon aquarium with three little tetras (knowing full well eventually they're dinner) and it's doing great. The second tad has changed much more slowly, has seemed a little weaker & it's tail developed a bend. I finally moved it into the aquarium yesterday (a couple of weeks after the first), even though it had about an inch of tail left. (All four limbs were pretty well developed.) .....and this morning I found him floating- tail eaten off and arms eaten to the elbows. SO, I FEEL LIKE THE BIGGEST JERK IN THE WORLD. I thought he was dead when I scooped it out, but since I've seen it moving a little. Now, he's back in the tadpole habitat, alone, in just enough water to cover him. This is my question- can he even survive in this shape? Am I prolonging his misery? Will he be able to eat without arms? What should I do? (Obviously he's not going back in the aquarium any time soon if at all.) TIA

ACFs are tough frogs and will surprise you of their durability. Often GrowAFrogs come from culled eggs. These frogs will use their hands as feeding tools so no arms will cause feeding issues in the future. Keep in a quiet place and offer food on a regular schedule.. Keep the water clean as possible and the temperature around 70(F).
