Hello,
I'm wondering how you all dechlorinate water for misting/filling water bowls for tree frogs. Let me know what product you use or if you use distilled water or let the water sit, etc.
Thanks,
Sam

I dechlorinate tap water and let it sit out to warm to room temp and degas overnight, to be safe. Some use distilled water for misting, but you should not use it as the only water source as it doesn't provide the necessary minerals, hence why it doesn't leave marks on the glass
I wouldn't let it sit out without dechlorinating solution just in case the chlorinates your water source uses aren't the kind that gas off. I've heard some of the newer ones don't do that.
Distilled water for the water dish is a bad idea as it can actually leach minerals out of the frog.
You can pick up dechlorinating stuff every place you get aquarium supplies. I got mine at Wal Mart. You can get a kind especially for amphibians and turtles but stuff that works for fish should also work for frogs. Some dechlorinator for fish promises to help with "slime coat." This isn't necessary for frogs, but according to everything I've heard it isn't harmful for them either.
