Default Red nocturnal lamp part 2

I'm going to re-setup my zoomed twin light in the next day or two, with a 60W red nocturnal lamp in place of the 50w one that wasn't getting warm enough. Can someone ( usually Jason or Cory) just confirm please -
Where the probe on the stat needs to be?
The temp range I need to be at on this probe?
    Also -
What temp for night time 76-78?

    Thanks

You want it an inch to half inch off the substrate underneath the light. And either of those temps are good for night, and around 82f, 83f is good for day. You Don't want it to go over 85f.

Haha hey dan! I would put the thermostat directly under the bulb or near it so the probe is not touching substrate and measuring the air, then set it for 81F at day with a 6F drop at night
