I have a 20 gallon tank with 3 ACF. 2 females and 1 male. They are doing well. I have had them for about 3 months. No heater in the tank. Room temp.....water is 72 to 75 degrees. The past two weeks there has been a lot of algae on the sides of the tank. I am cleaning weekly with 20% to 25% water change. Why algae?

I can't answer as to why the algae, but I can say that I have a large Pleco in my tank with my ACFs. They have lived together for about 3 years now. He helps keep it clean.
Thank you for the reply. A good idea. I have a pleco in each of my fish tanks. (I have 4). I never thought about putting one in with the ACFs. I appreciate your time.
