It's hard to determine what the problem is without pictures. Swollen back legs is a sign of bloating, fairly common in ACFs. Treating the bloating is fairly easy, but what concerns me is that it is turning dark. Does the bloating look like the Michelin man" or does the bloating appear hard? I suggest taking the frog to the vet. However, if no vet is around, you will want to treat the frog yourself. Mind you, I am not a vet, just a concerned frog keeper. Frogs do not always respond positively to treatment, but ACF seems to do better than other species.

Without knowing all the details, here is a possible solution:
Place frog in a sterile tank or container. Make a solution taking 1/2 of a 250mg tetracycline capsule and a small pinch of salt, add 1 cup of distilled water, mix thoroughly. Soak the frog daily for about five days. Do not let the frog remain in the brine for more than a period of 12 minutes. Make sure you time it! Make a fresh batch each day. Good luck and let us know how the frog is doing.
