Hiya everyone,
ive had ribbit for 2 weeks now, and so far he seems happy (I think) however I've been slightly concerned with his humidity levels, they were between 70-80 but recently have been dipping very very quickly! Has anyone got any tips on how to keep humidity levels high? Temperature is average 77. I was considering a fogger? Anyone have any experience or recommendations? thanks in advance.
You could try a wet towel or cling wrap over part of the tank. Just as long as it's not under lights or heat emitters.
No, no foggers. Too much humidity can lead to bacterial infections. Moderate humidity during the day and slightly higher at night should be fine. You can create humidity gradients by using a cork tube and stuffing some moss in it, so they can rest here, near the bottom or in the water dish should they feel the need.
I cover half the top of my tank w/a towel and I also have a fogger and I use it to help w/the humidity and my frogs are very healthy. Just don't have it on too much.
