ok so i'm planning to start keeping reed frogs in a riparium, (paludarium with mostly water) but i had some questions:
its an 85 gallon tank (51/19/19) and i was planning 6 inches of water on the bottom. how many can i put in at maximum and how many would you reccomend to start with?
what kind of plants are most suitable for this? i was thinking about Thypa minima (as its the smallest reedlike plant i could find) and maybe Acorus calamus. any other good tips?
i was also thing of throwing larvae of nonbiting midges in the water to have them grow as food, would this work? (any other tips on food are welcome too.)
how much water movement can they handle? can i just put on a filter with protected inlets and outlets or would that create too much of a current?
and last but definitely not least: how should i arrange for ventilation? would it work to just make holes with mosquito nets? or should i also put a small fan on one of the holes? (to run on set times.)
edit: i just thought about heating, but what is the recommended way to heat? Lamp + waterelement?

For plants I would recommend lucky bamboo along with some pothos, and you should be able to keep about 20 reed frogs as they are a smaller frog. I also recommend getting UVB lights on them as they will do better this way. something like a 5.0
