    Default New White Treefrog Owner!

Hey all, you may remember me from the Fire Bellied toad forum, they're doing great.

I recently wanted to adopt a Australian Treefrog and save him from some 5 year old at petco, I did weeks of research and finally ordered a 200 kit, with a few other items. We don't have the frog JUST yet, and will most likely have him by either tommorow or saturday, sunday is the expected time for the care package I ordered arives.
I used an old tank and put fake plants and driftwood, this is just temporary.

I replaced the water dish, we picked him up and my girlfriend named him Opal, very calm and he didn't want to let go of me.

This is a past one. But we changed to a 20 gal because this wasn't enough room for their water bowl and foliage and they never hung out at the top so we changed it. Mrs Bighead swallowed rocks one time so don't put anything in there that will fit in their mouth. And their mouths are big. That was 800 bucks for some 99 cent rocks. She's fine now thank god. This is mrs. Bighead

The vet had to get them out. Somehow he didn't have to cut her open he got them back out of her mouth. Then we had to give her oral medicine after and it was a challenge and a half. She was pretty sore for a good week.[IMG]http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161025/04bd1f1bac452d407be502ca3bd3bd01.jpg[/IMG

Hey guys, so the setup came in pretty late in the mail, but here's what we turned it into, with a few additions from the Fire Bellied Toads I actually ended up not using.

If you want to breed those frogs, it isn't easy. First it takes a cold period and that can be dangerous for frogs. Then you'd need a sprinkler over the tank and pools for laying eggs in.
If you don't have a way to find homes for hundreds of tadpoles I wouldn't try it.
