Hello,
I've never owned a frog before, but I'm interested in getting one. I'm looking for a beginners frog that's easy to take care of. As far as feeding goes, I want a frog that would be able to eat adult mice and chicks. I also want the frog to feel comfortable spending time deep underwater because the tank that I'm going to setup is going to have a dry section and a little pond. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
After doing my own research, I've decided to go with a pacman frog. I was think about getting a bullfrog, but the lifespan for bullfrogs in captivity is from 20 to 40 years and I feel like that's too much of a commitment for me right now considering that I've never owned a fog before.
I'm glad you found the right frog. Just keep in mind that mice are very fatty and should only be fed once every other month or so. Primary diet should be night crawlers, crickets, and/or dubia roaches.
