I rescued a White's Tree Frog from my cat. Her back was injured and it is healing well. My concern is her leg. She cannot move her leg at all. There doesn't seem to be any feeling in the leg as there is no reaction when I touch or even pinch it. Should I amputate the leg at the first joint below her back so she doesn't have to drag it around? I'd post a picture but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
Is the leg injured or infected? If it doesn't pose an immediate danger to her health it's probably not worth the risk.
I would leave it alone...
Unless you've done this before, I wouldn't touch it. Amputation sounds like a worse trauma than having a bad leg, the only reason to amputate would be if the leg tissue was dying.
For now, if there isn't a wound or infection on its leg, leave it alone. Try finding an exotic animal vet so they can safely anesthetize it and remove the leg without it going into shock and dying. For now, keep it safe until you find a vet to do the procedure safely
