Few days ago, I changed substrate of my frog. I thought pacman like the substrate, Eco-earth..(coco pite) , I pour it deeply.
And today I found my frog is disappeared!
I realized that he dig under the ground.. I never seen it in others' writing. Is it fine?
My frog is trying to go in hibernation? Actually my region is quite cold. His case is almost 20-24 degree Celsius. But he has lived well before I changed substrate.. He eat well, poo well..
Im not sure.. Should I bring him to overground.. or not.
I need your advice!
Mine go under sometimes and then come out when their ready. I think they like burying where they feel protected, but I'm not sure why they bury all the way.

Pacman frogs need temps in the high 20s C during the day to be active, you need to give your frog some heat
It will only half burrow and will come out fully at night. Keep the substrate at about 2 inches, not too deep
It is totally fine your frog buried itself, this something they naturally do. You probably stressed him when doing his change and hes buried to feel secure. But what was mentioned could also be the reason, if the substrate is to do deep the glass/plastic at the bottom will be a lot colder then the substrate and this has been known to set some frogs off thinking its time to estivate when its not. The solution as mentioned is use less cocofibre and try to bring your heat up abit. All in all don't stress out over the burying its 100% a natural instinct, I never see any mine during the day till lights go out. If you do think its going to estivate and theres nothing you can do to stop it make sure he/she has emptied out its stomach' if it goes to sleep with food in its belly it rot and make the frog go septic and that's not good.
Yeah! My frog appeared and is eating well! Actually im feeding it wild things though.. Anyway appreciate all of you!
