Thread: Identify tadpoles?

    Default Identify tadpoles?

I took a handful of tadpoles from a pond and put them in a tank of my own to raise them. I've been trying to identify them, and now that one of them has developed some color, I think someone here may be able to help me. The most developed one has orange/maroon spots in its back, and white spots on the underside of its hands. Their tails are fairly small and have speckles of black on them. The tadpoles who haven't developed their frog colors are mostly black but have tiny speckles of white on their bellies.
I tried to include images but apparently they are invalid image files.
    thanks for any assistance!
