Default Ever use Glow in the dark mushrooms?

Has anybody ever used glow mushrooms in their Vivarium? Are they even worth it?

From a very small bit of research, they seem to be, but with any type of fungi, do your research first, as even if it's not toxic enough to kill a human per say, it may have enough to kill a frog. Here's a nice page to get started: http://www.frogforum.net/showthread.php?t=33001

I've checked a couple of amphibian forums and they seem to be harmless to amphibians. Don't sauté them, they taste horrible

I'll take your word for it, I doubt anything bioluminescent would taste good

Do you guys think that an American Toad and Northern Leopard Frog would crush them?

I have decided not to use these in the build. But thanks for the advice. I certainly won't eat it either [emoji1]

They are safe for the frogs. Someone on the forum grew them years ago. They weren't very viable though.

Interesting idea although I would refrain with adding such to an enclosed habitat if it isn't an immediate necessity for the inhabitants as it could create questionable issues. Having said that, it is indeed an interesting idea and takes the "natural" setup up a peg or two. I prefer to experiment with mosses in my own setups.

I agree, this is a process that is something I don't want to wait for. I think moss is a little more rewarding than this. It would be hard to have mushrooms with big Amphibs
