Hi all, I recently came back from holiday and picked up my frogs from boarding on Sunday; today I noticed 2 patches on the smaller one (small brown mark by his nostril and a larger one on the right upper 'lip').
Is it possible that it's a bacterial infection? Or just abrasion..?
Thanks
Well, an abrasion could turn into an infection. Is it better now?
If you wanted to be safe you could dab a tiny bit of antibacterial ointment on it, though in that location I don't know if it would interfere with the frog's nostrils. Also, make sure any ointment has no painkillers in it.
Bactine works well and safe for amphibians. Swab small amount twice daily until clear.
