Hey guys, my Goblin is doing great, but I was thinking of picking up an opposite sex pacman for breeding endeavors once I'm more experienced. (Since it'll obviously take time for them to reach full size.) Can anyone tell whether this one is male or female? I haven't heard any calling but I don't think that automatically means anything.
Looks too small yet, what is his/her size now?
nuptial pads are visible, if they are present, on the inside sides is the thumbs, that area can't be seen in the pic, they look like dark mole on both thumbs, when male is reaching 2,5-3".
Head shape suggests it is female, but that is very unreliable way of sexing.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
The snout looks female which is a fairly accurate way toguesstimate. The nuptial pads are a sure way of telling, but if it’s a male itwill probably call before those come in. Find a pacman call on youtube and playit one night after the temp drops. Keep your conditions on point and feed agood staple like canadian nightcrawlers it won’t take long at all.
Check the bottom of this link it will help you out and even has albino male vs female pics.
