So I need some help with legal issues in Texas
Hubby and I dug a huge drain system in our yard to prevent flooding, long story short a big storm came through and the drain filled up thus we had hundreds of cute little tadpoles.. Fast forward about three weeks, the drain had nearly dried up leaving a tiny spot about five inches in diameter maybe an inch deep of water and mud with a ton of little tadpoles swimming on top of each other slowly dying... I felt bad so I swooped up as many as I could and threw together two tanks one for the tadpoles one for when they needed land also... My intentions were simply save, raise, release... Now I'm seeing I may need a hunting license? It was my property and I understand that doesn't make them my tadpoles but they were hours from death... I've researched and keep getting mixed answers soooo anybody have any idea? I also have no clue the type of frog or toad these are which also may play a role also?
