I need to know what kind of frog this is. I found it in my backyard and want to release it back to where it came from, but I have no clue where he/she came from. Like a lake? Grassland? Please help. Link to image below

So I didn't know where to start on searching for what type of frog this was, then I saw your location. From there I went to Google and found this website: http://canadianbiodiversity.mcgill.c...erps/anura.htm It shows what types of frogs and toads are found where you are, but not all have pictures. From there I individually looked up each species. I do believe you might have a Wood Frog (Lithobates sylvaticus) in custody. They are a fascinating specimen. Here is a Smithsonian video on them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLPeehsXAr4 Enjoy.
I agree with Glass Frog, it appears to be a wood frog. You could always release it back into your backyard and let it do some bug eating for you! If you would prefer to relocate it though, they do well in nearly all environments.

Yes, it is a Wood frog (Lithobates sylvaticus) They have care similar to the related Green/Bronze frogs, Leopard frogs, and Bullfrogs: http://www.frogforum.net/content.php...ocephala-(1886) http://www.reptilesmagazine.com/Frog...ican-Bullfrog/ http://blogs.thatpetplace.com/thatre.../#.V3_NQN76vIU
