    Default Waxy giant monkey frog

    Hi everyone

I really will apreciate your help. Actually I have been using this forum to take care of my frogs, they are doing good. But I'm texting now because I am concern about one white thing that appear in one of them, in his nose. The person who had them before told me to put antibiotics in cream every other day. But he is not getting better.... someone have any suggestion?

A white thing? Some kind of spot? Could you be more descriptive or maybe link a picture later?

Hi, I can help with the photo issues. Basically, the forum was hacked a while back, removing the like button, the ability to upload photos directly to the site, and several other things. What you're going to need to do to upload photos is to go to an external image hosting site and to link the photos from that onto here. Hope this helped!

Thank you, I did the link . Thank you. I think the problem is the size of the pic, they supposed to be like 350 kb.... that's really small, my phone take them bigger than that and reduce the size was complicated for me, I shared a link instead.

    Thank you

Hi, sorry, nobody replied sooner. It is what commonly known as nose rub. It happens for multiple reasons, stress is most common cause, so the question. Can you please describe the husbandry, size of the tank, decor, picture would be great to see too. unless the cause of the problem is removed it will keep reappearing and possibly getting worse and worse.

Treatment - best is to get flamazine, it's silver sulfadiazine cream, should be available at vet clinics, human pharmacies too. It is used in human medicine for burns, etc. If you can't find it then any antibiotic cream without pain killers should work. If not you need systemic antibiotics.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

    Hi

Thank you so much for your answer, I was sending you a private text actually just now but I couldn't finish it..... anyway the reason is I wanted to ask you about the terrarium, I have them now in a glass terrarium, I read you suggest better ventilation so I'm thinking to change it, and they need bigger space, they are bigger too , so my question is, do you thinknow one of the camaleon stile, like mesh all around will be good for them?

I will look for the medicine, I was using an antibiotics for human , but I was concerned they will lick it.

    Thank you

    Victoria
