My name is Magdalena! I am married, have two wonderful stepdaughters and our first baby is due October 1st. I work full time at a small Telecommunications company, and I have been keeping animals of all kinds my whole life.
I currently have: Fancy Rats (I breed Hairless and Siamese varieties), 2 Sugar Gliders, Zebra Finches (Pied variety), my 9 year old Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula (Ive had since I was 13), Full grown blood parrot fish, pink rams horn snails, trumpet snails, and of course pond snails, and an 8 year old black lab that came with my husband lol
I have raised tadpoles plenty of times, just native ones that were never even brought into the house. But we finally completed the "Reptile Room" in a corner of our basement. I put and order in for a mystery mix of tadpoles (30+) I am hoping to get a mix of males and females. These are a mix of American Toads, Common Green Frogs and Tree Frogs. They should be here tomorrow morning!
I think thats it for now!
Hello Magdalena! Welcome to FF! Congratulations on the baby on the way. I have been raising tadpoles and it is really fun. If you ever have questions, feel free to ask. I did find a chart that was (kind of) helpful in id'ing...it at least gives you a bit of an idea. http://www.trentu.ca/biology/berrill...ationTable.htm I was able to id our first round of tads as toads according to that. I am still waiting to see what my second round of mystery tads are, plus I ordered a couple more mystery ones off of ebay haha. Good luck!
