Just wondering anybody feeding their gabf meat? I read that animal protein was very fattening and bad for them. There are few videos on youtube with people feeding them meat such as shrimp and chicken liver. I know meat would not be a good staple as gabf get all their nutrients from whole prey items. Maybe meat as an occassional treat wouldnt hurt.

I feed my male pixie shrimp and tilapia fillets every 3 weeks until he is full. He is trained to feed from tongs. The shrimp along with its shell is a good nutritional mix.
I will mix in a mouse once a month. He seems to be doing fine.
Shrimp had a high sodium content and is not the best, once in very while, it is fine in small quantities and without shell.
Meat and YouTube lol.... Well as you probably know YouTube is not exactly a reliable source of information
yes, you are correct, it is fattening and hard to digest protein, but lean meat ( beef for example or beef heart small pieces) is ok for variety, once in a very while as a treat. Liver is the worst given its high fat content.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
An I know a gabf staple should be insectivore mainly crickets, dubia and nightcrawlers. It's very interesting to see how some keepers are feeding their frogs. I read an article where one keeper was doing mice as a staple supplemented by lean meat.
