Default Why cant my new green tree frog stick to the tank walls properly?

My new little froggy wont stick to the tank walls properly. Whenever he tries to he slides down the wall slowly to the ground and i think it's stressing him out. The temperature in the tank is about 70- 75 degrees. Does anyone know why this might be a problem for him?

I heard that Metabolic bone disease (MBD) makes tree-frogs and other climbing frogs not be able to climb properly, which I have experience in. Have you been dusting your feeders or supplying UVB? Also, how big is the tank, and are there any other things we should know about? This would help if you filled this out:

I cant include a photo right now of the frog but i just got him yesterday so i haven't fed him yet but i have crickets and calcium powder ready for him. Right now hes in a exo terra nano tank but i plan on upgrading him to a 10 gallon tank asap. There are no other frogs in the tank. The store i bought him from had him in a tank of a similar size of the nano and he was sticking to the wall perfectly then. Im using a heat pad underneath the tank to heat the tank because the light that i tried to use made it to hot. The heat pad keeps the tank at 70-75 degrees F which i can turn up or down using a dial that the heat pad is plugged into. The humidity is at about 70-80. I learned last night not to mist and give them tap water so ill be only using distilled water from now on. Im using moss as a substrate and there is an artificial plant and a artificial log in there for him to hide and climb. Thats really the only information i can give since i just purchased the frog. He pooped when i was taking him home but i think he was just stressed.

You still have not said what species it is, which is pretty important. 10 gallons is pretty small for any tree frog, and most frogs in general.

Alright, in my experience, green tree frogs have trouble sticking to glass if the glass is wet, and they will slide down. If your glass has a lot of condensation on the glass, this may be a reason on your froggy not sticking. If the glass is not wet, it is probably a problem with the frog, and not the enclosure. Hope this helps!

Yeah the tank walls were pretty wet the other day cause i misted down the whole thing and then i wiped the glass when i realized he wasnt sticking. He was hopping around and was in his water dish a few times so maybe his body was just to wet to stick. I wanted to keep him in that little tank because it cost me $60 and i never got to use it but i guess he definitely needs a bigger tank. Do you know any animals that can stay in those little nano tanks for there whole lives. Im not sure the exact dimensions but it's pretty small.

This is how he was when i got home from school today. Im thinking he just needed some time to adjust and learn his new environment.

I have some whites that don't stick to glass. Then others have to have cleaned off glass, and not too hot.
