This week, I rescued an American toad from my yard because of the freezing temperatures we've been having. The toad is doing great now that she's warmed up, eating and all. However, I've noticed that she doesn't hop, and when she walks it looks really strange.
When I took a closer look at her feet, I noticed that her back feet have a darker area on them, and there's also something brown hanging off the toes. It looks to me like it's dried skin that's been stuck there a while.
I'm interested to know if anyone's experienced stuck shed on a toad before? And what I can do to remove the skin?
