Default Tadpoles of Indian dancing frog discovered

An already peculiar frog species has another strange adaptation in its life cycle. The Indian dancing frog (Micrixalus herrei) which as the name implies, dances to attract its mates and scare other males from its territory, has been a mystery to science as its tadpoles have not been found, at least not until now. The tadpoles have strong, eel-like bodies with skin covering the eyes, adaptations to a fossorial life.
