Greetings all! I'm new here and new to frogs. I have two fire belly toads and 4 darts. I was given bad advice by the breeder/seller of the darts and am now scrambling to rectify things.
The Fire Bellies are so much fun. I've noticed lately that they are quiet. I've had them a few months and they are usually quite vocal. I have them in a 10 gal. with 2/3 water with a filter and 1/3 land. They are ALWAYS in the water and I seldom see them come out. I know they do cuz their food is gone.
I have one, that for a couple of days now, I've noticed is spending a lot of time out of the water. I'm concerned. I've found it in the food dish and thought it was hungry. Opportunists that they are that's hard to tell. But I'm just worried.
They eat mealworms and crickets. I dust accordingly. I don't have the foggiest idea how to sex them. I've seen "hugging" once in a while but that could mean aggression too. :/
Anything I need to be looking for?
