Exclamation New Pacman frog owner, concerned! Help! (URGENT)

*new pacman frog owner, so help me out

I just got my pacman about 4-5 weeks ago, and I have some questions.

He is in a 10 gal tank with a mesh top, coconut substrate, Zoomed double heat lamp, one 60 watt day bulb, one 60 watt night bulb, a reasonably sized water bowl and I mist him quite frequently because I worry.

I mist him and get his ground reasonably moist, and I mist him too. The problem I am having is that his humidity quickly declines, as I type his humidity is in the 75-85 zone. Within an hour, it usually declines to about 65-70...

I really need help, any suggestions on keeping his humidity high, and his substrate moist?

I dont know if maybe A glass top would help?

I don't think you can buy glass tops seperately, and I am not used to buying things online... Any suggestions?

    Please, please help me!

If none of the top is covered you can cover about 3/4 to 2/3 of the top with saran wrap or tinfoil. If you have a dome light and not a compact one place the dome down on the foil/wrap and cut a hole about an inch bigger then the dome so you have ventilation from that part once the dome is in place. Or you could go out and buy a fogger system but covering the top should help. I have a pacman in 10 gallon and I have 3/4 of the top covered and its been pretty dry around here since its got colder and I haven't had any problems with humidity.

By the way, if I cover the top with tin foil, will this make it super hot for him? It's about 80 degrees in there now.

    Dont want to fry him.

Ya the temp is going to go up abit, you could run out to home depot or walmart and grab a dimmer and hook the light up to that so you can control the temp, they cost inbetween 8 to 15 bucks for the kind you would be able to use. You could do this till you can get your hands on thermostat or you could just get the thermostat right away. I recommended the dimmer first because I don't know your financial situation and some of the better thermostats can be kind of expensive unless your good with web sites like ebay and stuff then you can find some good deals on some of the good ones.

Patches of sphagnum moss will help with humidity, just feed by tongs so there's so risk of the frog eating a piece or crickets hiding in it
