Hi guys! [emoji5]️
So, recently I noticed a bit of mold in my enclosure, but it wasn't anything too concerning. Now, at least 30 tiny mushrooms have popped up out of nowhere! They're pretty neat looking, however, I'm not sure how great this is for my little guys, seeing that there's suddenly an abundance of mushrooms and quite a bit of mold now.
I'm planning on ordering springtails, which I hear will greatly help the problem of mold. However, I plan to tear out all of the moss on the land enclosure (the stuff never turned green, I expected more from Josh's [emoji53]). Since I am going to put in new moss, I am wondering if I should wait on the springtails until that's done.
I really know nothing about springtails other than the fact that they're quite the cleaners! Any other information anyone can provide, as far as how to introduce them to the tank, their requirements (I.e. Soil moisture level, temp, etc.), and if I need to feed them, would be greatly appreciated!
I know, I know, I can just google all of this, which I've done some of, but, I just like hearing people's personal thoughts & experiences [emoji5]️
Thanks!

Do you have any photos of the vivarium?

Sure! I'll take one right now. Of the whole vivarium, or just the mold/mushrooms?

I really like Genesis Exotics springtails and have also purchased from joshsfrogs. Both also sell springtail food. Springs will eat any decaying matter. They will nibble on the aging leaf litter. They also like watermelon rinds, but be carful to rinse them with distilled or dechlorinated water first. I've in the past even fed moldy bread pieces.

Thank you! Would you recommend waiting on the moss change to add in the springtails? Maybe I'll just order some now.
Here are a couple pictures of the tank & the mold & mushrooms.
The mold, the little white specks, is a bit hard to see in the picture, but there's quite a bit of it. And I believe the little orange things are small fungi (mushrooms).

How old is the moss? It usually goes through a mold cycle.
Not too sure about the mushies... they may just be stragglers from the moss being harvested in the first place. Personally, i love straggler plants. Such an exciting mystery lol.
Still, someone may be able to identify wether they are bad for the frogs, or an eye pleasing bonus.
This shrooms are absolutely perfect and safe. You can also harvest them and feed them to your springtail culture.
