It has been 2 months since I got my frogs into their new tank. They seem to be thriving. While feeding them this weekend, I noticed that there seems to be a small amount fungus growing in the tank. I remembered that before I introduced the frogs to their new home, springtails were all over the tank and now I can't really find them out in the tank. I think I am feeding the frogs enough flies, but now I am beginning to think otherwise. Will the frogs eat the springtails even if I am feeding them enough or should I add more flies to their diet. I don't exactly count every single fly but I can estimate 3 dozen or so flies per meal between 4 and 5 times a week. I did add a bunch of springtails Saturday night to the tank and thinking of various methods of adding springtails into the substrate to ensure there are enough of them to keep the tank clean. Is this normal or any ideas of what to do? Thank you in advanced. I will see about adding some pictures later this week.

I don't know what I don't know and can't fix something unless I know its broken.
I add springtails weekly, because they much them down, and also have isopods in the tank to help with clean up.

Thank you for the information. I will take your advise and add springtails every one or two weeks. I do have isopods, or at least I did. LOL. I will put some thought on a way to add the springtails and isopods into the substrate directly and giving them a chance before being ambush by 3 frogs. Thank you again.

You're welcome! The isos seem to be a bit better at hiding. You can look up how to make your own springtail cultures. It's very easy.

I have 4 small cultures growing now. I just put a bunch into the tank over the weekend. I am trying to think of how to get the isopods into the tank. I have been using sweet potatoes as there food source and then transferring them into the tank. The iso are growing in a single big plastic shoe box. Thinking I should but them into 4 or so smaller containers then add a bunch from a container once a month. Just a thought.

Hello everyone,
Update and a question.
Its been just over 4 months and everything and everyone seems to be doing great. My fantastic froggy friends are now between 6 and 7 months old. I have added some pictures below. The blue dish is 3 inches in diameter. I am thinking that I have at least 1 male and 1 female. Trying to get all three together in the same place and the same time has been difficult.
Anyway, to the question/issue. I am going on vacation for Thanksgiving. I leave Wednesday morning and return Tuesday late evening. I have left the frogs alone for 3 days without issue, but this will be about 5 or so days without me. I have no issues with the environmental conditions but I am worried about feeding. They are currently being bed 3 to 4 times a week with FF. The plan at the moment is to add a LOT FF and adding a LOT of isopods and springtails into the tank the morning I leave and then feed them again when I get home Tuesday night. The question is whether I should have someone feed them Friday/Saturday while I am gone? Thoughts?
