Hello, my White's Tree Frog, which I have had for about a year, is acting (possibly) strange. When I feed him, I usually just drop crickets into his cage, and he eventually hunts them down and eats most of them. Occasionally, I will take him out and handle him to check on how he is doing. Today I decided to try hand feeding crickets. So I put him in his "feeding tank"(A large plastic pen). However, when I wiggled the cricket in front of his face, he ignored it, so I gently touched the cricket to his face. The cricket got loose from the tong, and when I went to pick it back up, my frog made a loud croaky noise. I assumed he was just startled by the sudden movement, so I continued to try to feed him, and he ignored me, and eventually croaked at me again. I assumed he just wanted to be left alone, so I went back to my business for about a minute, and when I came back, he hadn't moved at all. So I put him back in his tank, worried about him.
So is this normal behavior? This is the first time I tried hand feeding him, so I wouldn't know. If he is sick, what sickness could he have and what can I do about it?
I really hope he is OK.
