Default Occasionally Feed Pacman Black Skirt Tetra. Is it safer than Guppies and Goldfish? Should I not be doing this?

My pacman is an adult and I occasionally feed him Black Skirt Tetra. Ive read that fish might carry parasite, are these safer than guppies and goldfish? I know they cost more. I get them when they are 5 for 5 at Petco and keep a small fish tank. My frog seems to like the fish, but then again he eats anything I put in front of him. I usually feed him dusted crickets and fish. He seems to be healthy as can be. Just would like some feedback. Thanks
