Default American Toad with Gray Tree Frog

My two young sons brought two frogs home and without knowing not to mix--we did. So far all is good...they even sit right next to each other! My question is --is it normal or unusual for two frogs or toads to be cuddled up? I want to make sure we aren't overlooking a health issue or anything as we have all become quite attached.

I believe it would be all right. As long as one cannot eat the other based on size and the requirements that are needed. Generally people say it is better to have the same kind as same frogs may be toxic, canniballistic, or aggressive. American toads are relatively toxic but most likely will not harm the other. Although sharing water may be something that needs to be replaced due to the release of toxins shared by the gray tree frog drinking that water.
    hope this helps

No. Takes a lot of space and separate water sources to be safe. Toxins get everywhere, in the ground, in the water and on plants. Also, parasites my go to and fro between them, so I reccomend two separate terrariums, a tall one and a long one for the toad

When I was younger I caught a whole bunch of frogs and they all shared a barrel and they lived. But I agree with Xavier because frogs are very skin sensitive and may absorb toxins through water and etc.
