My dad went to the pet store this evening, & the guy told him that these two frogs showed up with an order of goldfish. As in, they were literally in the water with the goldfish. My dad has a bleeding heart, so when the guy said they had to "get rid of them" my dad offered to take care of them. The guy told him that he had no idea what type they are, so I'm hoping you guys could help out! I'd like to know what their living requirements are so I can get them into the right environment asap! Thanks so much!

Where are you from? That will help determine the species.

I am from Southern California, but it is possible that the frog was imported.

Leopard frogs I believe. Most common species is the northern leopard, Lithobates pipens or something like that
I knew it. I agree that they are leopard frogs.

Thanks guys! After much observation & research, I believe it is a leopard frog (one unfortunately died the night of receiving them). Turns out, the poor little guy only has one eye, too. I imagine that being stuck with a bunch of fish might be the reason [emoji15]
