I think I really screwed up here, completely my fault for not thinking ahead. I went to turn on the lights to a couple of my frog tanks and was shocked to see this....
That's my Bullfrog with a seven inch PLECO in its mouth!
I know the pleco's fins have the spikes, so I don't want to do anything to startle the frog or try and grab the pleco. This is BY FAR the biggest thing she's tried to swallow. She has other fish in her tank to eat, that are there for her to eat. She's also never eaten those fish, still the same number that I put in months ago.
She also never misses a feeding. She gets tong fed crickets and dubias, plus extras for her to hunt.
Stupid me for thinking the pleco would be too big. I should have pulled it from the tank awhile ago.
Any thoughts on what to do? Just keep her moist and pray she is able to digest it without problems or punctured insides?

Yeah...... Keep fingers crossed and watch the behaviour. And poops. And... You might want to take everything else that is moving and is not food out of the tank
RIP poor pleco. Stuff happens

She looks comfortable in the picture. So don't worry and leave her alone. If they are not stressing, then you should not be stressing.
**update**
It's been about 24hrs since I first found her. Yesterday I would sneak down and mist her every once in a while. This morning I found her in the water, which was reassuring.
The tail of the pleco is STILL sticking out of her mouth, just not as far, and she is FREAKING HUGE. Her eyes were way bigger than her stomach!
All joking aside, I know we're not out of the woods yet. There's still a chance of internal damage from the spines, and I'm sure there's going to be a huge risk of impaction.
I don't think she's in any pain, but she also doesn't look too comfortable(like us after Thanksgiving). There was a definite lesson learned, NEVER underestimate a bullfrog's ability to swallow things bigger than you think they can.

Ugh, not good. I hope she pulls through this for you. Good luck!

How is a froggy today?

Thank you for asking, but unfortunately she didn't make it.
This really sucks. I rescued her from the neighborhood kids, raised her two years as a tadpole, and three years OOW. She was the frog that sparked my interest in this hobby.
What really pi$$e$ me off is that I'm 100% responsible for this. I should have gotten rid of the pleco long ago.

Nope, not yet. I've done a lot dumber things than this and still have my thinking privileges. Unfortunately she's used to it. Now she just looks at me and shakes her head. Ten years of marriage and I can still surprise her!
