    hey..I looked for a frog forum...found a bunch of tiny green frogs today...my profile pic is one...can anyone identify? thanks.

    always loved frogs...but just looking to identify now...why would it be called gray and be so green? some of them are sort of gray...there were a hundred or so...didn't all look alike...thanks for the reply.

    The color can be extremely variable...versicolor

    Welcome to the forum Barbara. Provided you don't live in Western TN, the only possibility is Cope's Gray Tree Frog, Hyla chrysoscelis. If you do live in Western TN, there's a very slim chance it could be an Eastern Gray Tree Frog, Hyla versicolor, or a significant chance it's a Bird-Voiced Tree Frog, Hyla avivoca. Looking at it, I'm going to say it doesn't look right to be Hyla avivoca so you more than likely have Hyla chrysoscelis. The two kinds of Gray Tree Frog are impossible to tell apart by appearance, despite what some people will tell you.
