Progress is being made. I added 'test plants' to the terrarium portion of the tank. I should have the fogger set up by day's end.
The concept for having the plants growing out of the top of the tank is to try to have a seamless flow from the interior of the tank, to the exterior. Only time will tell how it looks.

First stage of planting is complete. I am picking up some orchids for this tank this weekend and I still have to find a nice piece of wood or two for the foreground.

Very nice. One day I will build a viv for my fire bellies, one day. L.O.L Joshua123 when you have planted tank like this you don't have to clean it like we clean our terrariums with fake plants and stuff. It is an actual living ecosystem inside the tank. You add isopods and stuff to the terrarium and they are your clean up crew/ garbage men. If im not right on this someone please correct me, I haven't built one myself so I just know the basics at the moment.

Yeah, you need to make it more like an actual ecosystem, my male five lined skink has an enclosure with springtails, red-wigglers, and some Canadian Nightcrawlers to break down everything envolving poop and dead insects

What was said above is correct about making it a self contained Eco system. No need for cleaning.
Planted vivs for pacs are very difficult due to the fact that pacs are maniacal plant murderers.
