Default New frogject I'm working on

Here's some pics of the 10 gallon converted "practice tank" I've been working on. It will eventually be a grow out/quarantine/green house tank, but right now its serving as a warm up to the 29 gallon converted viv. I figure I'd workout any design issues on a ten gallon before screwing up a bigger one. [emoji6]

As always, comments, criticisms, and suggestions are always welcome!

Even included a built-in deposit for thumbnails....

I like!! I look forward to seeing it when it is done! I wouldn't think it could work as a quarantine tank though since it looks like you would not be able to clean it properly. Is that a GS background? What did you use for the bottom? It is very neat!

    Thanks!

I didn't think about the cleaning part of it. So I guess a quarantine is out.

As far as the background goes. Yup, GS foam. The bottom part of the background is all GS foam. I blew up a few balloons in different sizes and foamed them up around the edges.

Perfect for thumbnails? Really? Cuz I have no idea what I'm doing[emoji57]

Now that Bill has signed off on this, it may move from "practice tank" to the real deal

Yay! I like! I have been hoping you would post an update soon! Do you have any broms? I think one would look good in place of the plant in the lower left corner. I really like this tank!

Thanks! Some/most of the plants may not make the final cut. I used some cuttings that I had available just to see how it would look planted. I'll eventually add some broms, air plants, and a few others once I figure out what I want. Any suggestions for me?

Nothing new to update yet. We found an abandoned kitten crying behind our house, and any money for new plants has been reallocated towards that cute little S.O.B!

No big deal though, the frogs won't be ready for another month or two. In the meantime, I plan on building a stand to house the electronic parts, and fogger. I also need to figure out what to do for a more permanent lighting fixture. The good news is that the plants are holding up well so far, and the humidity and temp. ranges are perfect.

I promise to add updates as I make them, along with what all I did including parts and cost. So far I'm UNDER the price of a new 18x18x24 exo terra, and that's including homemade fogger, lighting, plants, fans etc.

Looking good! for lighting you could use a 9w jungle dawn LED. NeHerp sells them at really good prices.
