Is it best to use dechlorinated tap water or distilled water for my soaking bowl for Red Eyed Tree Frogs? Its a matter of if they need minerals that are in the tap water. I have been using distilled water but that doesnt have minerals. Opinions please?! Thanks fellow frog people
Dechlorinated! Distilled can actually remove minerals from them due to reverse osmosis. (You might want to look that up, but I'm pretty sure this is correct.)
Edit: Yep except the actual term is osmotic regulation apparently.
As Elly said! It's very important to use treated tap, or treated bottled spring water. Distilled is perfect for misting though, as it doesn't leave any water stains.
